    I recently started taking prenatal vitamins. For hair growth. Any ideas on how much my hair will grow a month?

    • autumn says:

      @Cheyanne: a
      hi actually hair grows about a quarter inch a month,1 inch if your healthy,if u measure about 1 1/2 to 2 inches by the end of the month that shows that vitamin is working.

      hey i heard that taking prenatal vitamins isnt the best solution to make your hair grow it makes you put on excess water weight. i read that if you put them in your shampoo it will make your hair grown thicker and longer have you heard that??

    canu buy prenatal vitamins over the counter ???

  6. DonnaMarie says:

    @Heather Yes I believe you can buy them out of your local chemists / drugstore / pharmacy.. I think one brand is Pregnacare, but there are others you can choose, such as store brands, if you check Google there will be more of a choice :)

    I wanted to know if it is okay to take prenatal vitamins under these circumstances:
    I eat maybe once or twice a day
    I am not pregnant
    I want my hair & nails to grow

    • Malyna says:

      That’s fine you don’t have to be pregnant to take them but if it’s just for your hair your to crush the pills and put into your shampoo.

        @Fatima Bugharin: Question. Can you seriously calm down?? You are NOT a doctor and this is NOT even a reputable website. These are the opinions of people who think they know a little about prenatal vitamins. Mantrell was obviously looking for help because she is uncertain about using prenatal vitamins in her current situation. Calling her ignorant will only make anything you say sound insignificant because you have to resort to childish name calling to get your point across. If you want to be rude, find another site because other people like myself are looking for answers, not self-righteous people with a keyboard and misplaced frustrations. Thanks, doctor.

    Prenatals worked ok for me when I was trying to grow my hair. But a friend had me try taking “biotin” it’s a vitamin over the counter in the pharmacy an it’s the ingredients in prenatals that make ur hair and nails grow faster. It worked probably twice as good or maybe 3 times better. Hope that helps :)

  12. Lesley says:

    Should*i take biotin or prenatal pills to *help my hair grow * whats good I really need my hair to grow

  13. Raychel says:

    Anybody that is saying crush it and put it in your shampoo is wrong. Hair growth comes from the scalp and the healthiness of the new hair lying beneath the scalp. It’s the same thing as saying that shampoos can repair split ends. It just can’t be done. Prenatal vitamins are expensive so just fair warning to anybody who is wasting that money by putting them in hair products.
