HI,
I recently got a hair cut which has added volume to my hair.Previously i had really long hair but not so thick to just leave out my hair so i was forced to plait it always .But now the length has decreased,So i wanted to know till what age does the hair grow ?coz i want it to grow more uniform and thick now and is it true that once we cut our hair the hair refuses to grow back the healthy way..all these things said by my family are scaring me now and im regretting my decision of getting the haircut.please help.

@SUNAYA: hi don’t worry, hair grows your whole life. If it is cut badly, then it will not be healthy. For example, if you have very fine hair and it is cut with rough sissors, then it will be damaged, but with good care it will recover. So don’t worry.
How often should you wash your hair in the shower?
@Ashley: you may run water through your hair in the shower every 2-3 days. daily washings are also fine. but you don’t need to shampoo your hair daily unless you have really oily hair.

I am alseo wondering weather if hair chemicals effect your hair from growing healthy. I am using hair stray alot and heat protection spray?
@Lauren: u can get any of the hair oils online (i’d prefer organic extra virgin coconut oil). keep the oil in a bowl and place it in warm water to make it melt. now apply the oil on your hair and scalp and shampoo after half an hour. it’s great for damaged hair and split ends

@Lauren: I wouldn’t use a lot of hair spray, unless you really need it. Heat protection with curling irons or straighteners don’t protect your hair 100%. You can buy these oils anywhere. I buy them at the dollar store.
My hair has a lot of split ends. Should I get it cut or is there a product for my hair to help protect it. What should I do? Help me.

you don’t have to chop it all off but it depends how long the split end are
get a trim
@jessica: Jessica, I would guarentee getting them trimmed. Split ends can grow to the roots, making the hair fall out.
@jessica: you can trim it, but another way would be to put oils in it. Coconut oil is great but try to usepure, natural oils. Its amazing!
It depends on the type of style hair you have and how you clean it. Male hair loses volume first.
