Biotin WILL make your hair grow… And it. Will make your nails stronger. I’ve REM using it for 6 weeks and my hair has grown an inch. I’m loving it.
I am in chennai and can u tell me the tablet name and its availability at the medical shops , so that i can also try it out and see the differnce as my hair is thin and i have some baldness.
Anandhi…I have not heard of Biotin being sold in India like in the US. You could check for prenatal tablets that women who are pregnant or wanting to be pregnant take…in the ingredients there might be biotin. Otherwise you can look at sites like Ebay or Amazon and order online…they might be expensive but the tablets are really worth it.

I understand it makes hair grow but the side effect of acne outbreaks is that serious or it depends on how much you take a day

Since Biotin is a water soulable pill, You HAVE to take water while on the pill, so that you won’t have as many breakouts. I would say about 16 oz. of water a day. I normally take 36 oz. of water a day, but at least 16 oz. I say that Biotin DOES work, and in 3 weeks, I saw an inch of growth. That’s awesome for me. and I am of African American and Cherokee, and White descent, but mostly African American. So just DRINK ALOT OF WATER while on the pill, and you won’t see as many breakouts as your usually supposed to have due to puberty. Biotin does work guys. Have a great day. @Jeffrey: ive been told several times it depends on your dosage and water intake. The higher and or more pills you consume the more water you’ll need to drink and that should prevent breakouts and if breakouts do occur lower the dose and still drink alot of water.that should help:)

I have a bottle of ‘Finest’ brand Biotin pills and on the bottle it says “Biotin 5,000mcg Energy and Metabolism”. Are these the same as the ones you guys are talking about? -please and thankyou!
@Shaniqua: i believe its better to have 2500 mcg per tablet but some say 5000 mcg is also fine

I haven’t had any negative side effects whatsoever. I bought the Natures Bounty brand 5000 from Walmart so I think that what you bought should be fine.don’t forget to update us on your results too… I’ve been telling everyone about it.

Rachel, I too had super thick hair and it started to thin. The Biotin really does help. Try it. It’s helped me.
They did not really help me but i went to dollar general and bout a thing that looks werid but it goes on your head when you sleep. It makes your hair grow faster, my teachers even notice a bog diffrence within 3 days. Biotin by itself does not help but for 2 bucks you can a magic satin wrapping scarf it may sound stupid but it works.

I bought the 250 mcg ‘Jamieson’ biotin pills 2 weeks ago and today is the 14 day. I’ve noticed my nails are growing stronger and my face even toned.. although i broke out 2 times, but have now disappeared. According to my hair, i haven’t seen much of a difference…probably still early to detect, but I’d have to see next month. BTW im taking 4 pills daily…i know its not safe so i will take whats recommend on the bottle (2 pills each day)
Okay I’m 14 and I got a bad haircut maybe like 4 months ago and my hair has only grown about 2-3 inches since then. They cut 6 inches from my length!!!!!!:( So now i want my hair to be alot longer then it is now!!:P So do you think they sell these in shoprite?

Hello, im brittany, i am a cosmetologist, and ive been wearing extensions since I was 14 I am now 21. I have decided that I want my own hair to grow and feel beautiful as myself! Ive been taking biotin everyday now for about a month and have noticed some growth in my hair….But since im so used to just clipping in some tracks to add that length, its killing me not to be able to. I take 5000mcg, but what people dont realize is that biotin is helping put that protien into your hair, and hair is mainly made up of protien…im going to keep up with the biotin everyday and report anymore signs of hair growth….you have to be patient, hair is also a living thing and takes a little time…..sincerely, impatient little lady

i use to do extensions myself but i glued them on. but as time went on it took so long for them to put in so i stopped doing it . people told i had such pretty hair cuz its naturally curly. but a couple of months ago my doctor has put me on some medicine and it has made my hair falling out. so i just stopped takin them and started takin biton. so i am hoping this will help me. i really want to do my extensions again. i am aslo impatient lol
